Windsor 5km completed: 75km to go...

On Sunday 2nd June on a wonderful sunny day Miss Donovan and I completed the Windsor Race Course Race for Life 5km. This run saw Miss Donavon beat her PB while running with perservance and heart in memory of her Nan. Well done Miss Donavon!

Next run is the Battersea 5km on 12th June.... With Maria Donovan, Helen Exler, Laken Randawa, Raquel Porto, Ariel Calver and her mother...

Clapham common 10km completed! 80km to go...

Hey Everyone!

Thank you all for your many messages of support and donations!

Saturday 1st June was the first 10km of the challenge, the Clapham Common 10k. Clapham Common is a very special event for me as it was the first ever Race for Life I ran shortly after my mother died last year. It is also a pretty tough course. I was very lucky to have my trusty supporters with me Miss Exler and Miss Randawa. Yuval and her mam also ran and Miss Baldy ran the 5k with her baby. It was a great event. Well done to all involved.... 80km to go.....

On Sunday 26th May I travelled to Surrey Sports Centre, Guildford to complete the first two runs in the 100km Race for Life challenge. A 5km run at 11am and another at 2pm. It was a great start to the campaign. There were around 4,000 participants running on the day. It was a sea of pink tutu’s , hats, wig etc. Women of all ages, shapes and sizes ran/jogged/walked in the event, each with a different story of how their lives had been affected by cancer. It was very humbling to read the tributes each runner wore on their backs. Running in memory loved ones they had lost , those who were still fighting and those who were strong enough to beat this terrible disease. So far 34 Southbankers have signed up to run with me and there is still time to sign up all information is on the Southbank donation page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/100k

A run in sun- FINALLY!

I'm sorry I have not been very good with keeping you all up to date on my training. So far, I've ran in some warm up events with other teachers, Helen Exler, Laken Randhawa and Raquel Porto. We have run a 10k in Regents Park, an event organised by the British Heart Foundation and a 5k night run in Battersea Park organised by energizer. 

I've just come back from a 4.5k run. It is such a beautiful day. Finally I get to run in the sun 😊 I think my Irish skin will be needing sunscreen soon if this sunshine continues. 

Tomorrows training: spin and swim and "rest" day on Monday. 

I hope the sun holds out until tomorrow for  the Southbank sevens training session at Paddington Rec.
